On these days leading up to Christmas in July I have been blogging about Joy, Peace, Love, appreciation, giving, magic and miracles. But central to any Christmas we celebrate is the birth of Jesus our Savior, and the Gift of his Spirit which he has given to the world. Many books have been written about the true meaning of Christmas and much time and energy is given every year to preparation, celebration, and commercialization of Christmas. Maybe to much energy is given to commercialization. But a wise man once said “any press is good press”. Monetization and commercialization of Christmas without any regard to what Christmas is truly about, still keeps Christmas relevant in our world. It is up to each of us to remind and show the world the true Spirit of Christmas.
In our trying times with all the negativity, strife, division, oppression, violence and downright evil. The human spirit will rebound and the Holy Spirit will prevail.
I firmly believe that the Holy Spirit, the Word of God that Jesus brought into this world on Christmas day is the Spirit of Christmas, and has the opportunity to live in all of our hearts. And when it does our Peace and Good will to All will prevail.
